JAEDON DANIEL AT BAT CENTRE

(Right: Jaedon Daniel)

On January 16, 23 and 30, 2022, the BAT Centre will play host to a series of Sundowners concerts made possible by the SAMRO Foundation/Concerts SA facilitated by Thulile Zama of N'den Entertainment – supported by the Norwegian Embassy.

January 16 features Jaedon Daniel, an unconventional Durban-based pianist. Daniel explores the role of producer and composer all while founding and leading jazz and hiphop collective called the Blvck Crystals.

Through producing a number of solo tracks, Daniel extends the boundaries of what it means to be a pianist in the 21st century. His latest release is an EP Poet’s Heart Killer released on July 16, 2021. Daniel on keys will be joined by Riley Giandhari on drums, and Freeman Gumede on bass.

The concert on January16 starts at 14h00 (doors open at 13h30). Capacity: 50. Tickets at the door.

The Batcentre is situated at 45 Maritime place, Small Craft Harbour in Durban.
